I’ve had a large archive of army medical photos and images waiting around for me to do something with for some months now and they have, at last, got their wish. This is the first of an intended series of collages.

All the source images (bar one, from a postcard I found yesterday, which was the catalyst of me getting my arse in gear) are from the “unofficial home for public domain photographs from the National Museum of Health & Medicine” here on Flickr. [There are a fair few disturbing ones, so beware. It is army medical images after all.] Which is a fantastic resource for unusual images and CC licensed to boot.

Anyone know of any similar repositories of intriguing/unusual/freaky/old CC images?
