Business Cards
I’ve got business cards! We’ve all got business cards! All fall down.
Here’s mine:

The sun…
Messing around with photos and sound.
Freecycle goodness.

Obtained today, via freecycle, this huge amount of delicious darkroom equipment. Not entirely sure what any of it does but, excited to learn!
As you can see there’s a multitude of things in there, old cameras, chemicals, papers, bulbs (including the most beautiful bulb box in the world, like an ancient multicoloured iPod box it is!) and the all important enlarger.
Looking forward to the photos, just gotta take over a suitably dark corner of the house now…
Neuf uploads.
Uploaded a load of photos I took to the Croissant Neuf gallery of snaps on the newly live site here so they can mingle with the ones from everyone else (although currently all but one are mine, I think.) Hopefully there’ll be lots to see soon.
P.s. Also check out the video, with the ident I gave morion to and twenty3rd’s editing and filming.
Print.
I started a lino print of one of the best designs and (days later) have finished.
Here’s the plate:

Overly complicated and painful to cut, the font specifically needed a bit of fudging but I think that it comes out clearly.
The first print:

I think a better inked print’ll turn out better. Like the design though (luckily otherwise I’d be hairless!)
Redesign.
Wanting to change the style of the site at the moment, had a little change of feeling about it a while ago, echoing thoughts I’ve had for some time that it isn’t really my style, that it doesn’t stand out as much as I would perhaps like. So I’ve begun with a logo design:

A huge range were created and these are my 9 favourites. I’m working on converting the best of these into lino prints right now so we will see if they work with that more bespoke hand-made feel.
I think they will but, hey, you never can tell.
Any preferences from anyone?
Current.
Just been working on this ident for the promo video for Croissant neuf, which will be put on the website (which goes live in the next 24 hours!) Good and in keeping with the style which we should be furthering for next year’s party.
